OUR STORY
ZEMNA is a Ukrainian studio of contemporary object design, founded in 2021 by the creative duo Tetiana Krasutska and Andrew Dobryansky
Their work carries emotional narratives—stories shaped by inner reflections, instincts, and lived experience. The studio was born from the merging of two distinct yet complementary design languages.
Andrii, with his minimalist vision, works through geometry and clarity of form. Tetiana, guided by her intuitive feel for bionic and organic shapes, brings softness, sensuality, and flow into the design.
Together, they create objects for those who seek more than form—for those who crave emotional resonance and intuitive connection with the space around them.
ZEMNA follows the principle of responsible production, honoring the time, skill, and energy of the artisans involved. Each object is crafted from natural, durable materials that reveal their texture over time and age with dignity.
“We want our objects to live long lives among people. They are created not just to decorate, but to stay – to become part of everyday rituals and perhaps, one day, be passed down through generations.”
“I met Tetiana when we were both students at the Faculty of Architecture. And for more than 13 years, we’ve been shaping a shared vision of design and life. In our work, we’re always experimenting. We’re interested not just in how a space looks, but in how it makes a person feel. Our studio—originally focused on interior design—became known for its boldness and willingness to push boundaries. We explore the emotional depth of spaces, the tactility of form, the impact of light, and how all of it interacts with the human condition. For us, design is not just about objects—it’s a large laboratory of feeling.
The past three years have been a turning point, for us and for all Ukrainians. In the face of destruction, you always have a choice: to break or to build. We chose to create. And through that, our strongest work to date was born. This design practice is more than design. It’s a process of discovering inner foundations—a kind of personal archive of emotional states, with many shelves still waiting to be filled.”
